BLUEBERRIES (10 min)

One of my first core memories in life was when I discovered a whole new world just outside our doorstep.

My mother had woken me up early in the morning to go beyond the trees on the other side of the road, blueberry-picking.

I was one of the storytellers at the recent Storytelling Lisboa event, where the theme was "Firsts". Naturally, I dedicated my story to my very first blueberry and how it changed my life.

I haven't been on a stage for many years up until this evening. Telling a personal story in front of almost 200 people was something different. To say I was nervous is an understatement...
